Meet me at the gate
Where Valour leads
And Victory lays a laurel wreath
On the crown of Judea’s judge.
Where the emblem of Israel flies above
Stolen treasures of temple doves.
This poem was inspired by the Arch of Titus located in the beautiful and historic city of Rome, Italy. Located just outside of the Colosseum, this triumphal arch contains inscriptions & sculptures honoring the military victories of Emperor Titus.
